When I subordinated myself to the worldview of the Judeo-Christian tradition, after a long and reflective journey traversing many competing worldviews, the zone of subjectivity in my art making process was reduced. Creative praxis became, for me, a purposeful pursuit toward the alignment of the intentions behind my compositional work with the Will of the Creator. With the Grace of the Paraclete, the intersession of the Holy Family and my patron saint John the Beloved Apostle (the Revelator) and adopted son of Mary, I seek to communicate the sublime truths of the Jewish and Catholic traditions. I strive to make work that is simultaneously orthodox and contemporary through digital media and fine art mediums. I hope my work can resurrect the stories and teachings many were raised on but have set aside, and become for them as renewed and essential as they have been unfolded for me. Projects I have undertaken are esoteric extrapolation of the Creation, meditations on the daily lectionary, visualizations of key catechetical concepts on the Christian life, a sand design series called Geometry of the Body, and lesser known scenes from the intertwined Jewish and Catholic traditions. In addition to conceptual work, I continue to paint and draw representational pieces in a modality of praise, gratitude and thanksgiving to the Creator for the awesome gifts He has bestowed upon me.
